Meet the Team

Alyssa Whittington

Creative Director & Choreographer

Alyssa strives off of individuality and creativity. She believes that no dancer should be the same and that everyone has their own story. Dance has been a big part of her life, and she wants everyone to get that as well- this is why Alyssa chose to become a dance teacher. Her dance journey started at the age of three. Along with dance, she used to be a competitive gymnast and All-Star cheerleader for several years. She has trained in many dance styles, including contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, jazz, ballet and breakdance.

Over the years of her teaching and choregraphing many routines she has learned to create of off students’ strengths. She has had many winning routines, bringing home top choreography awards, first overall trophies, and national winning title awards. Her choreography sets her apart from others, with each dance different and versatile. From competing for many years, teaching and working as a backstage manager at Spotlight Dance Cup, she has many experiences in the competition world.

Alyssa loves her students and is passionate about each individual. She takes the time to learn every one of her student’s talents and ability. Alyssa is fun, patient, and compassionate. She guides students into boosting their confidence, developing new skills, and creating their own individuality.

Alissa Baker

Owner & Director

Born and raised in the Tri-Cities, Alissa has been dancing since she was just 5 years old. Over the years, she has learned that her true passion is to guide others. Alissa’s approach is holistic, focusing on strengthening confidence and fostering creativity and a deep love for the art of dance.

Alissa believes in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every dancer can thrive. She wants to ensure that her students not only become skilled dancers but also gain important skills they can take with them throughout their lives.

Grace Strycker

Instructor

Grace is 17 years old, was born and raised in the tri-cities, and is a senior at Pasco High School! She has a profound passion for dance that has shaped her life for nearly seven years. Grace dove into the competitive dance world here at Creative Minds Dance Studio when it opened just about two years ago, where she discovered her intense love for hip-hop. Though hip-hop remains her favorite, she’s increasingly drawn to open, contemporary, and jazz styles as well!

Grace firmly believes in the power of dance to bring people together and is dedicated to sharing this passion with those around her (especially her future students!). As Grace looks forward to teaching, she is committed to creating a safe space where dancers can be themselves, explore their art while also learning and growing not only as dancers but also as individuals.
She is so eager to meet her future dancers and support each of them on their individual dance journeys, whatever path that may take!

Alexis Sharpe

Instructor

Alexis has been dancing since the age of three and spent a decade in competitive dance, developing the technique, discipline, and artistry she now brings to her ballet and stretch/flexibility classes. Her teaching style blends structure with encouragement, helping dancers build strength, confidence, and body awareness in a supportive environment. Outside the studio, Alexis is a professional photographer and lifelong creative, often found behind the lens, on a paddleboard, or curled up with her cats and a crochet project. She’s also a yoga enthusiast who values movement, mindfulness, and a good laugh. Whether she’s guiding dancers or capturing portraits, Alexis brings heart, intention, and a deep love for the art of expression.
